Monterey County Artists Studio Tour
September 25 — 26, 2010
On the last weekend of every September, the artists of Monterey County fling open their doors. Art lovers can see completed works, works in progress and the environment in which these craftspeople create their art, while enjoying refreshments.
This year, over 70 artists will exhibit their work in studios and galleries. Everything from photography to painting to sculpture to mixed-media work and even jewelry-making will be on display. Many artists will also demonstrate their techniques and discuss their work; for example, you can watch glass blowers at work with red-hot materials as they build a glass pumpkin patch. The "Studio Tour" is free and self-guided; maps will be available at the official Monterey County Artists Studio Tour website and the Pacific Grove Art Center as well as in the Monterey County Weekly and the Monterey Herald.
The grand opening party will be held at the Pacific Grove Art Center on September 24 and is open to all. Every artist participating in the 21st Annual Monterey County Artists Studio Tour will have a work on exhibit at this event.
