All Weekend

Things get funky in eccentric Sand City this weekend for the annual West End Celebration! The streets of Sand City shut down and become an open-air artists' fair, showcasing truly unique works from artists throughout Monterey County. The two-day event also features an array of food vendors and live music from Red Beans & Rice, Casey Frazier and more! Saturday from 11am-6pm and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Contra Costa Street, Sand City. The Carpetbag Brigade Street Stilters

This weekend head over to the Golden Bough Playhouse in Carmel-by-the-Sea for a rocking good time of Buddy and Company’s British Invasion. This stellar night will be full of classic covers from Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Little Richard and more. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Round up the kids (or not) for a magical performance of “Oz” in the newly renovated Outdoor Forest Theater in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This incredible production will be an event to remember, featuring a host of favorites like “We’re Off to See the Wizard”, “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, “If I Only Had a Brain”, and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Kick of the weekend with a free concert at Carmel Plaza. Tonight The Money Band takes the stage with a food and wine package hosted by The Forge, Hahn Family Wines and McIntyre Vineyards. 5pm-7pm. Ocean Avenue and Mission Street, Carmel-by-the-Sea. Free event, $15 for food and wine ticket.

After work “wine’d down” and head to The Wine Experience on Cannery Row for live music. Grab a glass of wine and enjoy a rockin’ good time with Fergus. 5:30pm-8:30pm. 381 Cannery Row, Monterey. Free event.

Saturday

Head to Fernwood Tavern in Big Sur tonight for a groovy time with the Billy Martini Band! 10pm. 47200 Highway 1, Big Sur. Free event.

Sunday

Set out on an exciting treasure hunt during the Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market at the Monterey Peninsula College. There will be all sorts of exotic and rare collectibles up for grabs ranging from home décor, jewelry, furniture, clothing and more. 8am-3pm. 980 Fremont Street, Monterey. Free admission.

Get your fix of Jewish comfort foods at the 29th Annual Jewish Food Festival. Congregation Beth Israel serves up all sorts of “soul foods” including corned beef, pastrami sandwiches, brisket, blintzes, kugel, potato latkes, matzo ball soup, chopped chicken liver, desserts, and much more.
