All Weekend

Film and art collide this weekend in bohemian art village Carmel-by-the-Sea. For five solid days the Carmel International Film Festival features over 100 films shown throughout various venues including the Sunset Center, the Cherry Center for the Arts, the Adobe Theater and the Carmel High School Performing Arts Center. There’s nothing better than starting your day off in the crisp autumn air. Set out on an invigorating morning hike through Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove with a guide from the California Parks Department. The Asilomar Ramble is an easy walk over paths and roadways covering the "Historic Core" of the Asilomar Conference Grounds and the Dunes Boardwalk. Catch a performance of Moll Flanders this weekend at the charming Circle Theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This frolicsome adaptation by Jennifer Le Blanc brings to life this bawdy, daring, ribald - and true - morality tale, showing an independent woman of spirit making her way through a man's world. Saturday

Businesses in downtown Pacific Grove get decked out for the 4th Annual Downtown PG Trick-or-Treating Extravaganza. Just look for the Halloween ribbons and pumpkins outside participating downtown businesses and enjoy live music, entertainment and lots of treats throughout the day! 10am-4pm. Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove. Free event.

PG Halloween 2011

Get in the Halloween spirit with a haunted ghost tour through the eerie Point Sur Lightstation in Big Sur. Enjoy the incredible sunset over the Pacific Ocean followed by a buffet dinner in the barn. Afterwards the fun begins with a spooky tour of the un-restored triplex, ghost stories and topped off with dessert and beverages. Children under 6 are not permitted on the tour. 5:15pm. Point Sur Lightstation, Big Sur

The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History isn't just for kids! Tonight they open their doors for an adults-only evening event diving into the science and craft of brewing beer from local supplier Buttoms Up Homebrewing Supply. The Botany and Brews Night Owl event will also feature live music beer samplings; course. 7pm-11pm. 165 Forest Ave, Pacific Grove. $20.

Gypsy rock band Junk Parlor is at the Fernwood Tavern in Big Sur tonight for an exciting night of live music under the redwoods. 10pm. 47200 Highway 1, Big Sur. Free Event.
