If you're a classic car fan, the Cherry's Jubilee Motorsport Festival will keep you happy all weeekend long. Not big on cars? There's plenty of other things to do. Friday Carmel Plaza holds its final Jazz on the Plaza evening for the year. Popular local smooth jazz artist Dennis Murphy provides the tunes, Boete Winery provides the drinks, and Bistro Beaujolais provides great food. 5-7pm, $15. The Cherry's Jubilee Show 'n Shine is in the Waterfront Parking Lot in Monterey from 8am to 11pm. Hang out in Old Monterey to watch classic cars drive by on the Friday Cruise Loop from 5:30 to 9:30pm. Jose's on Wave Street hosts a Silicon Valley AIDS Walk fundraiser featuring electro DJ outfit Blood & Glitter. 9pm. $5 donation requested. Saturday Cherry's Jubilee starts bright and early at 7am at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Check out the Show and Shine and the Manufacturer's Midway, ride some "Hot Laps" around the track in a Porsche, watch the car parade laps, and more. 7am until 4:30pm, free admission. It's Museum Day! In partnership with the Smithsonian Museum, the Monterey Museum of Art offers free admission from 11am-5pm at its Pacific Street location. 54 artists from Big Sur up to Seaside and Pebble Beach all the way out to Salinas will throw open their studio doors for the Monterey County Artists Studio Tour. Get an inside look at their process, and enjoy refreshments, live music and more. 11am-5pm, free. Harvest Farm-To-Table is a celebration of Monterey County's great food and wine. 50 chefs will offer food made from local produce while 100 local wineries pour. There's chef demos, gardening seminars, live DJs, a farmer's market, and more. The event supports Rancho Cielo Youth Campus, Hilton Bialek Biological Sciences Habitat, and the children's nutrition education initiative Days of Taste. The event runs from 12:30 to 4pm at Quail Lodge. Tickets for the day are $175 for VIPs (who get in at 11:30am), and $85 if you're just an IP. 2-day passes are $300 for VIPs and $150 for everyone else. Monterey County's history and heritage season begins with the Salinas Heritage Festival at the Amtrak station and adjoining Historic Harvey House. Take tours of a historic caboose and locomotive as well as the First Mayor's House, listen to live music, hear poetry from Salinas' poet laureate Frank Pierce, and enjoy refreshments. 2pm-5pm, $10/adults, $5/children. Don't miss the Cherry's Jubilee Cannery Row Show 'n Shine from 4 to 10pm. Sunday Cherry's Jubilee returns to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Eat a pancake breakfast, cruise the classic cars, and watch the parade laps. 7am-1pm, free admission. See all the artists you missed on the first day of the Monterey County Artists Studio Tour. 11am-5pm, free. Harvest Farm-to-Table continues at Quail Lodge from 12:30 to 4pm. The Monterey Rock Festival at the Monterey County Fairgrounds has some great classic rock artists, including Billy Squier and headliner Heart, as well as young guitar phenomenon Tyler Bryant.
