What kid doesn’t like Dr. Seuss? Bring your little ones to MY Museum for Seuss Science where kids will enjoy story time and play time with the Cat in the Hat. 3pm-4pm, 425 Washington Street, Monterey. Free with admission. It’s the first of the month which means it’s time for the First Fridays Art Walk in Oldtown Salinas. Talented local musicians pay tribute to one of Monterey County’s celebrities, John Steinbeck this afternoon. The Steinbeck Center in Salinas hosts A “Musical Celebration of the Life and Times of John Steinbeck” featuring a variety of genres including Mexican ballads, blues, jazz and swing. 2pm-4pm, 1 North Main Street, Salinas. $15. Come to The Listening Place, Readers’ Theatre at the Monterey Museum of Art- La Mirada this afternoon.
