Communion in the Redwoods takes over Fernwood Resort this weekend for a three-day gathering of emerging and established artists. Take in the fresh air with a hike around Mill Creek this morning. Staff from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Parks District will lead hikers around the hills of Big Sur and to enjoy fantastic views of coastal redwoods and the Pacific Ocean. The 5.5 mile hike is expected to last 3-4 hours. Don’t forget to bring water, snacks, lunch and good hiking shoes. for a 10am, Mill Creek Trailhead, Big Sur. Enjoy the warmth in Carmel Valley during Earthbound Farm’s Fun Fall Festival. Things get creepy this evening at the Point Sur Lightstation in Big Sur. Adults will embark on a special Ghost Tour of the famous light house in the spirit of Halloween. Actors and story-tellers will recount frightening sightings of spirits and poltergeist activities. 5:15pm, Highway One, Big Sur. $60 donation required for restoration of the light house. Reservations are required, call 831-649-7139. Prepare to be spooked at Wild Things' Howl-O-Ween Safari. Children are encouraged to dress up and trick-or-treat amidst the exotic animal neighborhood. Relive the late 1960’s with special tribute concert, The Pink Floyd Concert Experience, at the Sunset Center.
