"Coastal Colors" features the Fine Art Pastels by Sheila Delimont, Paintings by Stephen Skerce and Ceramics by Sachiko Yokota. These 3 award-winning, Monterey artists are featured by Venture Gallery as part of the gallery's 20th Anniversary Celebration. The love of the area's ever-changing beauty is captured in the softness of Delimont's shading and the boldness of Skerce's brushstroke. The elegance and fine line of Yokota's sculptural ceramics evoke a feeling of peacefulness and calm. Welcome to the first Big Sur Food and Wine Festival, to be held on
November 5-8, 2009. A long weekend enjoying the grandeur of Big Sur in
intimate settings, of savoring great food paired with exquisite wines –
what more could one ask for? The Festival will be held
at each local resort and restaurant. We’ll offer winemaker dinners at local restaurants and some private homes on Friday and Saturday evenings, and on Saturday evening we'll host the Dinner With Friends – A Benefit for Big Sur at the Ventana Inn and Spa with Big Sur chefs as well as guest chefs such as Cal Stamenov, of Bernardus, Carmel Valley.

Building their lifes work around art, Laurie and Brian will share how they've adapted to the changing art world today and how their careers have evolved over the last 25 years.
This fascinating discussion will take you through their intensive studies at the Academy of Art University in downtown San Francisco, their diversified careers in commercial art and their individual accomplishments and awards as artists.
