Contemporary art and independent film collide for five days in Carmel-by-the-Sea during the Carmel Art & Film Festival. The festival features art in almost every medium including music, fine art, photography and, of course, film. Events will be scattered throughout the artist's haven of Carmel-by-the-Sea with the Sunset Cultural Center as the hub for the event.
Art is one of the main focal point of this marquee event. Louisiana native George Rodrigue is 2013's featured artist who is most known for his Blue Dog paintings.
Over 100 films will be shown for four days straight beginning Thursday, October 10th. Film categories include narrative features, documentaries, shorts and student films. Venues include the Sunset Center, the Cherry Center for the Arts and the Carmel High School Performing Arts Center. On Saturday, don't forget to bring the entire family for a special screening on beautiful Carmel Beach
Day Passes can be purchased for $53.75 and includes film screenings that begin before 5pm. All Access Film Passes can be purchased for $102.13 and include all film screenings and "Conversations and Encounters" workshop series. Click here to view other packages and to purchase tickets online.
