Discover new wines and craft beers without the stuffy environment at Wine Fest! This unique take on wine tasting is geared towards the average wine drinker without all of the bells and whistles surrounding the varietals, wine styles and brands. The inaugural event, held at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center from 12pm-5pm, features reasonably priced wines in a casual, outdoor and fun atmosphere.
Entertainment and Food
The entertainment line-up at Wine Fest is certainly not what you might expect at your average wine festival. Six on-site graffiti artists create unique art pieces and murals while DJs and local bands jam in the background. Your palate will also be delighted with the variety of food trucks serving up a montage of culinary concoctions.
Tickets for Wine Fest are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Admission prices include all the wine and beer you can drink. VIP Tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door. VIP ticket holders have access to a VIP area with special tastings and early entry to the main festival. Tickets are available at Wine Fest’s official ticketing website.
Planning to indulge a bit at Wine Fest? Don't drive when there are plenty of hotels and motels in Monterey, many within either a short stroll or a quick taxi ride from the Monterey Fairgrounds. While other people are still circling the neighborhood for parking, you'll be inside Wine Fest enjoying your first drink.
