Why suffer the stress of trying to please everyone's palate this Thanksgiving? Start a new tradition with a family Thanksgiving meal at one of Monterey County's best restaurants. All of these offerings take place Thursday, November 26, 2015.

Big Sur

Have a great Thanksgiving dinner and fantastic scenery at the Big Sur River Inn Restaurant. Dishes include herb roasted turkey with mushroom dressing, sweet potatoes, fresh cranberry relish and more. $50 for adults, $15 for children under 12. Call 831-667-2700 to reserve.

Big Sur Roadhouse invites guests to the "Feast of the Grateful Moon," a communal-style prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner with a Shakespearean twist. Executive Chef Brendan Esons will prepare a Middle Ages-inspired four course meal paired with local wines. 5pm. $135 for adults, $68 for children ages 3-10 and free to children 2 and under. Aubergine at L'Auberge Carmel offers a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Seatings run from 2pm-9pm, $150 per person; wine pairings are $110 additional. Call 831-624-8578 to reserve. Aubergine also offers a Thanksgiving meal to-go from featuring a juniper-orange spiced brined Willie Bird turkey and a wide selection of sides, sauces, wine and desserts. A limited amount of turkeys are available. All orders must be placed by Monday, November 23 before noon.

Mission Ranch Restaurant hosts a three-course Thanksgiving feast to ease your appetite. Starter options include portabella mushroom bisque or a Waldorf salad. Entrees include fresh salmon, roasted pork rack or free range turkey. Dessert choices include pumpkin pie, pecan pie or apple strudel. 1pm-7:30pm, $50 for adults and $25 for children 10 and under. Get your turkey and all its fixings at Anton & Michele. In addition to their regular dinner menu they are offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner which includes items like butternut squash soup, roasted turkey with cornbread stuffing and pumpkin cheesecake. 1pm-8pm. $39 for adults and $19.50 for children 12 and under. Carmel Highlands

Pacific’s Edge Restaurant at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands offers an amazing four-course prix fixe menu including slow-roasted turkey, dry-aged prime rib, buttermilk potato puree, sage stuffing and more. Dinner served 4pm-8pm. $95 for adults, $45 for children 5 to 12, children under 5 dine free. Call 831-622-5445 to reserve.

Carmel Valley

Bernardus Lodge hosts a delicious gourmet Thanksgiving Day lunch buffet or four-course dinner. Dine on traditional Thanksgiving favorites made with sustainably sourced, local and organic produce and naturally raised meats, as well as several special creations from Chef Cal Stamenov. There will also be wine tasting and hot apple cider by the fireplace. The lunch buffet is served from 12pm-2:30pm and is $85 for adults, $32 for children ages 5-12 and free for children under 4. Enjoy a farm-to-table type of Thanksgiving meal this year in the Clubhouse at Carmel Valley Ranch. Chef Tim Wood serves up a buffet style feast featuring apple cider brined Diestel turkey breast, honey lavender cornbread, smoked duck, maple butternut squash soup, pumpkin pie and much more. 11:30am-4:30pm, $55 for adults, $25 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. Carmel Valley Ranch is also offering to take your traditional turkey dinner “To-Go.” An apple brined Diestel turkey will come complete with green beans, mashed potatoes, bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and more. Jacks Restaurant at the Portola Hotel & Spa offers an indulgent Thanksgiving Feast. Guests will start off with cream of wild mushroom soup and a mixed lettuce salad with blue cheese, candied pecans and roasted beets. The entrée is served family-style and includes roasted turkey, sourdough stuffing, yams, green beans, whipped potatoes and cranberry sauce. Several delectable desserts will also be available to round out the meal. 1pm-7pm. $54.95 for adults, $49.95 for seniors, $19.95 for children ages 6-12 and children 5 and under eat free. Get the most bang for your buck this Thanksgiving at Peter B's Brewpub. Not only can you enjoy some delicious craft brews but they are offering a full-on turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie! 4pm-6:30pm. $14.99 per plate.

TusCA Ristorante located at the Hyatt Regency Monterey serves an incredible Thanksgiving Day Buffet on Thursday, November 26th. The menu features all sorts of staples like creamy butternut squash soup, herb roasted turkey and pumpkin pie. Staring at 3pm diners can enjoy live jazz music from the Dr. David Morwood Jazz Band. 1:00pm-6:0pm. $50 for adults, $20 for children age 6-12 and children age 5 and under eat free.. The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa is offering an impressive Thanksgiving buffet from 12pm-6pm in the Monterey Bay Ballroom. The sumptuous buffet offers dozens of items including a seafood display, roasted turkey, slow roasted prime rib of beef, and more. Served 12pm-6pm. $62 for adults and $23 for children ages 6-13. Start a new holiday tradition with Thanksgiving dinner at Estéban restaurant, located at the historic Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa. Savor a classic holiday meal, prepared by Chef Tom Snyder, complete with turkey, potatoes, Brussels sprouts and homemade cranberry sauce. For those who may be seeking a little break from tradition the prix fixe menu also offers a choice of snake river trout served with white beans and bacon lardons. The Sardine Factory offers a special four-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu featuring butternut squash bisque, fresh all natural roast Diestal turkey with sides and choice of dessert. 1pm-8pm. $49.75 for adults, $47.75 for seniors 60 and older, $25 for children under 12 and free for children under 5. Just down Cannery Row, the C Restaurant + Bar at The InterContinental the Clement Monterey offers a delectable prix-fixe Thanksgiving dinner menu with a great ocean view. The Thanksgiving menu consists of dishes like Diestel Farms Turkey, prime New York steak and American red snapper. Begins at 4pm. $85 for adults and $45 for children ages 5-12. Moss Landing

The Captain’s Inn serves up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with an Italian twist. Diners will enjoy antipasto, pumpkin soufflé, risotto alla monzese, roasted turkey and pumpkin pie. 6pm. Call 831-633-5550 for reservations.

Pacific Grove

Fandango Restaurant’s great Thanksgiving menu includes duckling pate, Basque salad and a choice of entrees including roasted turkey, roast sirloin, grilled salmon, Virginia baked ham, tortellini and a variety of traditional desserts. 12pm-8pm, $38.95 for adults, $16.50 for children 12 and under. Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove invites you over for a large Thanksgiving spread and beautiful views. The bountiful buffet includes an array of items including a Monterey Bay seafood salad, maple glazed ham, free range Diestel turkey, prime rib, pumpkin pie and apple cinnamon cobbler. $49 (and 10% service fee) for adults and 2pm-6pm. $25 (and 10% service fee) for children. Pebble Beach

Let the world-renowned chefs at Pebble Beach Resorts prepare a sumptuous buffet of traditional holiday fare and delicious seasonal specialties for you to enjoy on Thanksgiving, all while overlooking the famed 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links! Located at Stillwater Bar & Grill at The Lodge at Pebble Beach, menu highlights include traditional holiday fare, an oyster bar, carving stations, seasonal salads, cheese compositions, cakes, pies, sweet treats and more. 11am-6pm. Porter's in the Forest at Poppy Hills offers special entrees like roasted turkey, garlic studded prime rib and smoked pork loin.
