The grape harvest is over and now it’s time to celebrate with the Monterey County Vintners and Growers during the Best of the Blue! You may ask yourself: why “Best of the Blue”? The name is taken from Monterey Bay’s underwater marine sanctuary. The unique sanctuary is equivalent to the size and depth of the Grand Canyon giving it the nickname “Blue Grand Canyon”. This gorge allows Monterey County to have the perfect mix of climate and fog essential for grape-growing.
