Monterey Wine Festival

June 8-9, 2012

With over a thousand wines offered for tasting, wine lovers will find an embarrassment of riches awaiting them at the Monterey Wine Festival June 8-9, 2012. 

California's longest-running wine festival celebrates its 36th anniversary beginning with the kickoff event at Custom House Plaza, Monterey State Historic Park from 5pm-9pm on June 8th. During this evening event titled "A Night to Celebrate Reds" guests can sip on fine wine, enjoy light appetizers and mingle with other wine-enthusiasts. 

The festivities continue on Saturday, June 9th at noon at the Custom House Plaza and Museum of Monterey in downtown Monterey. Guests will continue this day of celebration with a completely mouth watering experience from both the wineries and purveyors of food.  Along with these two ingredients live music is the final sensation that further ensures a winning combination.

The West Coast Chowder Competition will join the festival on Saturday where guests will be able to sample and savor the Best of the Best! Local restaurants  will compete for the coveted Copper pot Award and cash prizes. The Bartenders Fedora also takes place on Saturday where local bartenders will compete for the best cocktail!

Tickets

Whether you are in the industry, a wine enthusiast or on your way to becoming one, this event is not to be missed! Tickets for the kickoff event at the Custom House Plaza on June 8th are available for $50 and VIP tickets are available for $75. Tickets for Saturday's Wine Festival & West Coast Chowder Competition are $35 and $10 for chowder samples only.
