To taste wines from the 40 wineries located in Monterey County, visit A Taste of Monterey "Wine Visitors' Centers" on Cannery Row or on Main Street in downtown Salinas. Wine From the Heart, in downtown Monterey, also stocks many regional wines, with some available for tasting. And, if you simply want to track down a wine you loved at dinner, try Terranova Fine Wines in downtown Monterey.
Opportunities to taste Monterey County's remarkable wines are plentiful, with nearly 30 tasting rooms sprinkled along the Salinas Valley, and throughout Carmel Valley and surrounding towns. From humble to extravagant in design, the tasting rooms have one thing in common--knoweledgeable and friendly staff eager to share their passion for Monterey County wines.
