Carmel Wine Tasting Rooms
Spend a weekend wine-tasting without ever getting in a vehicle! Downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea has become a bona fide wine tasting destination, with enough tasting rooms to keep visitors busy for a weekend and even more about to open. Start your wine tasting exploration with these top picks and keep your eyes peeled for even more new tasting rooms on the way!
Tasting Rooms
Caraccioli Cellars offers sparkling and still wines in an elegant tasting room that is open well into the evening. Enjoy small plates or cheese as you sample the wines on offer. Just down the street from Caraccioli Cellars is Scheid Vineyards Wine Lounge situated on San Carlos and 7th in Carmel. Be sure to try their award-winning Pinot Noirs. Next, head over to Tudor Wines located in Andre's Bouchee. The Tudor family creates a variety of savory handcrafted wines specializing in Pinot Noirs. Finally, stop by Manzoni Cellars located in the Paseo Courtyard for their award-winning Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Port wines.
Carmel Wine Walks and Maps
Carmel-by-the-Sea makes it easy to sample wines from their finest tasting rooms with the Carmel Wine Walk by-the-Sea Passport. Visitors who purchase this passport can enjoy tastings at seven different tasting venues including Caraccioli Cellars, Scheid Vineyards, Wrath, Napoli Wine Bar and more! Passports can be purchased online for $50.
The Best of the Wine Walk is a free self-guided wine map showcasing some of Carmel's finest wine tasting rooms and wine bars. Stroll to Tudor Wines, Trio, The Cheese Shop and more.
