Dali17 is the first permanent West Coast exhibition of surrealist artist Salvador Dali. Located at the Museum of Monterey, the exhibition will feature the second largest private collection in the United States, with over 570 of Dali’s artworks which include etchings, mixed media, lithographs, rare sculptures, as well as reintroducing Dali’s local history. Monterey was the only place outside of Spain where Dali lived and painted. This exhibition aspires to reintroduce Dali’s time in Monterey during the 1930’s and 40’s by showcasing his influence on the region.
