The Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare (SVMHS) Certified Farmers’ Market is supported and funded by Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System. SVMHS is a vital partner in Everyone’s Harvest’s Fresh Rx Program. SVMHS physicians “prescribe” fresh fruits and vegetables to young overweight patients and direct them to the farmers’ markets where they can receive $25 worth of fresh produce weekly. Results tracked by doctors show healthy decreases in participants’ overall body mass index and other positive health indicators.

The SVMHS Market happily accepts EBT/WIC and conducts a Market Match program for EBT customers to double their spending power for fresh fruits and vegetables. Ask about Market Match at the Information Booth!

The Market is located at the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital at 450 E. Romie, Salinas 93901. Free parking is available next to the SVMHS Market. Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus routes go directly to the SVMHS Market, including MST Route 23 (Salinas-King City), Route 43 (South Salinas-Salinas), and Route 95 (William Ranch-Northridge). The market is located at the corner of Romie Lane and Wilgart Way.
