eSpecials: Visitor Newsletter Advertisements
The MCCVB welcomes advertisements from Monterey County’s tourism-related businesses in its monthly visitor newsletter.
- The newsletter is sent out to over 20,000 interested potential Monterey County visitors.
- The newsletter is sent in the seven days prior to the beginning of the month.
- Advertising space is sold on a first-come, first served basis.
- Advertisers must submit this form by the 15th in order to have their advertisement in the next issue (example: an advertisement for April must be received by March 15).
- All advertisements must be paid in full within 30 days of submission.
- Advertisements are sold in two types
- Vertical banner (one per issue): 160px w x 300px h; $500
- Featured ad (three per issue): image 120px w x 57 px h plus around 20 words of descriptive text: $250
- Discounts are available for half-year and full-year purchases.
- Taller vertical banners may be available for an additional fee in certain months (January, February, March and June).
How to Place an Ad
These instructions are for standard advertisements only. If you wish to purchase advertisements in bulk or a larger-sized Vertical Banner, please email Nicole Gustas at Nicole@mccvb.org.
- Send an email to Allyson Thommen, Marketing Coordinator at allyson@mccvb.org
- The subject of the newsletter should be “Newsletter Ad For [month]” (where “[month]” is the month you would like your ad placed in)
- In the body of the email, state whether you are interested in:
- a Vertical Banner (160px w x 300px h; $500)
- a Featured Ad (120px w x 57 px h plus around 20 words of descriptive text: $250)
- IMPORTANT! Please state the web address (URL) of the web page or website you would like to link to.
- If you are placing a Vertical Banner, please attach a 160px w x 300px h .jpg or .gif of your advertisement with your email.
- If you are placing a Featured Ad, please attach a 120px w x 57 px h image to run in your advertisement, as well as up to 20 words of text to run beneath the image.
- Please ensure that you hold the rights to any image you send.
- We will confirm receipt of your email within one business day.allyson@mccvb.org
Please note: If your email is missing any component of your advertisement, then your ad may not be included in the newsletter!
