Featuring
US Navy Blue Angels
The Blue Angel Demonstration Team will return to the 29th Annual California International Airshow and grace the skies over the Central Coast with superb formation and opposing solo routines. The Blue Angel routine includes the Diamond four-ship formation, which provides a close look of low level, close maneuvers for the air show enthusiast. As the four ship formation is out repositioning itself for the next precision fly-by, the two opposing solos will capture your attention as they do many of their maneuvers at closure speed of over 1000 mph and all six Blue Angel F/A-18 Hornets will join together for their famous Delta Formation or the Ho-Bo (Head-on Breakout). Don't miss the return of the world famous US Navy Blue Angels!
Fat Albert Airlines
An integral part of the Blue Angels is affectionately known as "Fat Albert Airlines," the squadron's blue and gold Marine Corps C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. Be sure to check out Fat Albert's demonstration including the short runway landing. Fat Albert can also move almost just as fast on the ground in reverse. Fat Albert demonstrations will be a part of the Friday night show, and both Saturday and Sundays shows.
Robosaurus
Robosaurus makes his triumphant return to Salinas for the “Summertime Blues”. Robo is a fire breathing Dino-bot that stands over 40 ft tall. He takes massive bites out of metal with those steel choppers. You better believe Robo is car-nivorous! Better not leave your wheels too close to this 60,000 monster – he’ll make it lunch. Watch Robo Friday – Saturday and Sunday as he enjoys charbroiling his own treats!
US Army Golden Knights
The Golden Knights will amaze the crowds of Salinas when they jump off on a aircraft that’s about 12,500 feet above the surface of the earth. The parachute team races to the ground at speeds exceeding 120 mph. 2009 is the 50th anniversary for the Golden Knights. Now, the Golden Knights spend more than 230 days jumping at air shows and events supporting the US Army recruiting goals

They’re simple, effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles. You’ll see examples of the Wart Hog’s flying prowess along with a pyrotechnic display. Don’t miss your chance to see the “Wart Hog” in action!
Wall of Fire/Friday Night Fireworks
Get ready to enjoy an evening of incredible performances and then as the sun begins to set, the skies will come alive! The Friday Night Fireworks Extravaganza will light up with sky in synch to a professionally produced soundtrack. And the Biggest pyrotechnic event of them all, the Wall of Fire, caps off the evening sending explosive charges down the showline for an incredible inferno where everyone can FEEL THE HEAT!
Bob Carlton/Vertigo Airshows
There’s nothing else like it in the world! With its exclusive retractable twin jet engine pod, the Super Salto jet sailplane performs both a screaming jet-powered low show, and a classic sailplane aerial ballet. Watch the Super Salto do hammerheads, loops and rolls, things you’d never expect a sailplane to do. Then Bob will spool the engine back and perform a graceful sailplane ballet. All with the same plane – no need for a tow plane for this guy!
Gene Soucy and Theresa Stokes
Check out the man who has won more awards than any other active airshow pilot. They call him “Mr Airshow”.
Gene Soucy…. He’ll take to the skies in his modified Grumman ag crop duster named “Showcat” and make a “little noise”. Gene also performs with
Teresa Stokes in an amazing Wingwalking act. Teresa climbs all over the wings of the huge biplane, even performing a headstand, while Gene performs breathtaking aerobatics. Always a crowd favorite!
