Located in quiet residential Carmel this historic country Inn was opened in 1927 as Grosvenor's Garden Inn. It was completely remodeled and renovated as Carmel Crystal Bay Inn. Three two story, Spanish Mediterranean style buildings comprise the main Inn. Surrounded by lush gardens and pathways, the sixteen individually decorated rooms are a joy to behold.

All rooms feature king or queen beds, private baths with tub and shower. Each room has its own dicor, hardwood floors or Berber carpet along with oriental rugs. Telephones, remote control television with Showtime and ESPN, Am-Fm clock radios, VCRs air dryers and irons are just a few of the extra amenities that are available during your stay.

Our King rooms all have fireplaces and wet bars with sink, microwave, refrigerator and coffee makers. Many of our rooms have private or semi-private balconies looking out on our various garden areas.

Separate from, and not a part of our Inn, is a one-room guest cottage with private entrance. The cottage can sleep up to four people and is furnished with an antique king size poster bed. Welcome to the 18 unit Carmel Fireplace Inn, located on a bright, sunny corner in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, just a short distance from the heart of town, shops, restaurants, and the beach. The inn has an abundance of charm and elegance.

As you enter the property you will walk down a beautiful shrubbery-lined path to the tiled patio in the rear of the inn. There, on all sides of the chairs and tables is a large array of flowers, shrubbery, vines and hanging pots.
   
The quietness and serenity of the surroundings is exceeded only by the uniqueness of 18 carefully designed and decorated rooms, each with its own personality and attention. Each and every room has its own fireplace (except #29 - Crespi). No two rooms are the same, and many feature King beds.
