Vacationing in the Monterey Bay area? Why stay in a hotel or motel when you can rent a million-dollar vacation home on the most beautiful beach on the California coast. Nestled in the heart of Monterey Bay, Monterey Dunes Colony features 120 2, 3, and 4-bedroom vacation town homes stretched out over a mile of sandy beach and colorful sand dunes. This is vacation lodging at its best. Once here, you can enjoy the secluded beach and private recreational facilities, or, with just a short drive, visit Monterey and Carmel to shop and dine, and to visit world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium on historic Cannery Row. Castroville, the artichoke capital of the world, is just a few minutes away, as is Moss Landing. Watsonville is a ten-minute drive.
Your secluded hideaway for a never-to-be-forgotten vacation. Each year the Monterey Peninsula offers hundreds of festivals, tournaments, shows, races, tours and other very special activities.
There is so much to do. Play some of the world's finest golf courses. Watch the whales from your oceanfront home, surf fish on the beach and watch sea otters at play. Browse in the antique shops of Moss Landing. Visit the spectacular Monterey Bay Aquarium and the magnificent 17 Mile Drive at Pebble Beach is a must for everyone.
Monterey Dunes has 120 individually owned homes stretched out over a mile of beachfront on 125 acres of colorful sand dunes. Homes are 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms—some have private hot tubs. Some are available for rent—they are completely furnished.
The recreational facilities include 6 tennis courts, swimming pool, saunas, hot tub, sand volleyball court and basketball. Oh yes, occasionally we have one for sale. Monterey Dunes is one of California's best kept secrets. Prices range from the mid $1,000,000.'s to the mid $2,000,000.'s. Most sales include furnishings.
Sun, sea and solitude. Undisturbed beach as far as the eye can see. A spectacular Monterey Bay setting, enhanced by choice amenities planned in harmony with the environment. This is Monterey Dunes. So perfectly secluded, yet so close — just a few minutes — to the rich cultural and entertainment life of the Monterey peninsula.
Come join us in this magnificent setting of natural sand dunes hundreds of years in the making. Our beautiful oceanfront homes are nestled in this very fragile sand dune environment. But please, please never walk on the sand dunes. Our plant life at the dunes is always in a life and death struggle. The beautiful and colorful plant life helps hold the extremely fragile sand dunes in place. Since the Salinas River has been dammed less and less sand is available to maintain the dunes. Without the plant life hundreds of years of sand could disappear in less than a decade.
We must preserve the sand dunes for all future generations. People and nature working together should be able to preserve the dunes forever. Please — never, never walk on the dunes — we're grateful for your help.
Each home has a boardwalk to the beach. On the beach you can hike, run, play, fish, build your sand castle—or just do nothing. Magnificent Monterey Dunes. A place you'll always remember — an experience you'll never forget.
