While operating a local hotel reservations service here in Monterey County, California, we were often asked about who to call to decorate a hotel room for an anniversary, birthday, proposal or just a romantic getaway. In the 10 years that we operated this service, we assisted over 60,000 people - and quite a few wanted something a little better than just a standard hotel room. The actual concept for the business began quite a while ago. While Brian Borgia, owner of this business along with his wife Heidi, was in college he constructed a "fake beach" on the balcony of his apartment to impress a girl (complete with sand, barbecue, leaves, blanket and ocean scene). It turned out to be so popular that all of his room mates used the same "balcony beach" for their girlfriends as well.
