Celebrity Secrets of Success
Based on her book, StarWords: Inspirational Conversations with Extraordinary Monterey Peninsulans, and the national and international celebrities in it who have forged famous and satisfying lives in nine fields of endeavor, Cantrell has designed this speech to inspire you to re-examine your personal definition of “success” and to empower you to realize your passions.
You will learn the "10 Common Denominators of Success " that these successful celebrities share.
You might be surprised to know that one of the common denominators is that they overcame major challenges in youth; or that humility is an asset shared by those who have realized their life’s purpose.
Hear: what one of the world’s greatest acrobatic flyers does to focus before his flights; how rejection became a stepping stone to world-famous authors and entrepreneurs; and quotes from interviewees to keep you moving forward, such as, “I’ve seen in my personality the ability to not take no for an answer,” said by Kip Evans, a world-renowned diver and documentary film maker for CNN, BBC and the Discovery Channel.
Also hear tips for overcoming procrastination and making commitments; and the author’s personal journey and near death experience that led her to her to her own highest calling.
“Teeter-totter: Life as a Balancing Act ™”
This one is a natural for corporate over-achievers and a morale booster for burned out employees. Caregivers benefit as well.
Learn: how to realize new dreams and goals inside and outside the work place; why “selfish” is not a four-letter word; how self-focus and honest introspection can better humanity; that your “avocation” supercedes your work and career, and can actually enhance them both.
Our lives become increasingly complex by technological overload, work addiction, and guilt, induced by a bombardment of “social correctness.” If our life were a pie, and we sliced it according to: work, creative enterprises, chores, play, sleep, spiritual growth, giving and relaxation - would it look out of whack?
How do we play? When do we take time out for nature? Can we sit in a room alone, quietly, for 10 minutes?
Based on inspirational stories and interviews in Cantrell’s popular book, StarWords: Inspirational Conversations with Extraordinary Monterey Peninsulans, you will gather tips to enhance your lifestyle and to identify new passions.
