A large king room, on the courtyard. Put your feet up in front of the wood burning fireplace, relax with a good book or maybe a movie from the video library.

This lovely king is situated in the middle of our courtyard, just beneath the towering oak tree. Done is soothing sage and peach, this room offers a wood burning fireplace and small kitchen.
Room Three - $250-$325
A corner location and soothing blue and white color scheme make this king room one of our most popular. A bit more private, it’s sitting area is located directly in front of the wood burning fireplace with the small kitchen.
Room Four - $250-$325
This large queen room boasts a wood burning fireplace, small kitchen and beautiful roll top desk. Right behind the waterfall, it looks forward towards the beautiful flowers in the courtyard. This room connects with Room 4-A.
Room Four-A - $145-$165
This petite queen is located at the rear of the property, with it’s very own waterfall outside the front door. Decorated with a half canopy bed, this cozy queen is filled with antiques and charm.
Room Five - $225-$250
A large, king room with gas fireplace, this one feels like a man’s study! Graced with two large leather wing-back chairs and a tapestry on the wall, it has a large window that looks into the courtyard, but is privacy protected with a large blooming Camilla bush.
Room Five-A - $155-$175
A nice size queen, appointed with an electric fireplace, this room is just off the lobby. A beautifully carved wooden headboard and antique porcelain lamps make this room comfortable and cozy.

A brass headboard and window seat make this upstairs queen room feel like you’re above the roof tops. A gas fireplace, placed high enough to see from the bed and a beautiful marble bath with shower give this room an elegant feel.
Room Seven - $195-$225
Soft sage green, butter yellow and dove gray give this queen with gas fireplace room a feeling of being in a meadow. The window that looks out through the tree branches to the courtyard make it airy and light and the room has a shower in the bath.
Room Eight - $250-$325
Pine paneled walls and English hunting prints make this king with wood burning fireplace feel like a hunting lodge. With the addition of a twin bed in the corner, this room with kitchen has easy access to the street.

Two large double beds in this spacious room with wood burning fireplace, this room has many prints by early California artist Marie Katz, depicting the local wild flowers and plants. The antique clocks, pine paneled walls and small kitchen give this room a very cozy feel.

Pacific House Room
This luxurious room features a king size poster bed, wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, skylights, large bathroom with mobile glass windows, oversize soaking tub for two, double vanity sinks and separate shower. The 227 square foot deck has a private hot tub and distant ocean views. Room is 634 square feet.

Big Sur Villas
Villas are upstairs/downstairs accommodations. First floor features a living room, queen size sofa bed pull out, wood burning fireplace, dining alcove, wet bar, window seat and a private deck. Second floor offers a bedroom with king size bed, bathroom and a private balcony. Big Sur Villa square footage ranges from 930 to 1198 square feet.
The Cottage House
This luxurious free standing unit features a king size hour poster bed, cozy seating area in front of the wood burning fireplace, dining alcove, wet bar and large bathroom with oversize soaking tub for two, double vanity sinks, separate shower and dressing area. The 600 square foot deck has an oversized hammock, private hot tub and amazing forest canyon views. Room is 722 square feet.
The Sur House
The Sur House is free standing unit near the property entrance. It has a lofted style bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom with double vanity sink, and bathtub and shower combination. Downstairs has a cozy seating area in front of the wood burning fireplace, full kitchen and dinning alcove. The 600 square foot deck has an oversized hammock, private hot tub and ocean views. This 50-acre park with overnight group camping, walking trails, BBQ picnic areas, play equipment, turf playfield, is located in Monterey. The Park has a basketball court, limited hiking trails, and a large lawn area which can be used for Frisbee, kite flying, football, softball and relaxing.
Location
Veteran's Memorial Park may be reached by driving due west on Jefferson St. (up the hill) from the heart of Old Monterey, or by taking Highway 68 west from Highway 1 until you see a white adobe wall on the right side of the road with black letters that says "Skyline Forest". Turn right there, go to Skyline Drive and turn left. Skyline Drive will lead you right into the Park. Veteran’s Memorial Park is about 1 mile away from historic downtown Monterey. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is about 1 ½ miles from the park, and various beaches are within 2 miles.

Huckleberry Hill Nature Preserve is an 81-acre park with numerous, well established hiking trails. Pedestrian access is through Veteran's Memorial Park.
Campsite facilities
The Park has 40 campsites, 30 of which can accommodate trailers. Hikers and bikers (non-motorized) are welcome. Each site has a table and a fire pit for cooking and campfires. Water can be obtained from faucets located in the camping area. Restrooms and showers are available. The site capacity limit is two vehicles and eight people per campsite. The maximum length of stay is three consecutive days. Vehicles are limited to 21 feet. Vehicles longer than 21 feet will be referred elsewhere.
Fees-The camping fee per night is $25.00 for the first vehicle in a site and $5.00 for one additional vehicle. For hikers and bikers (non-motorized) the fee is $5.00 per person per night. If you have a Golden Age/Access Passport, you are entitled to a $5 discount for a campsite or $2 off in the hiker area.
Reservations-Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.

Youth Group Areas
Two group areas can be reserved for overnight youth groups of up to 100 people. Each has a large double BBQ pit for cooking, tables, and water is available. Restrooms and showers are available, also. The fee for use of these areas is $5.00 per person per night.
Picnic areas
Three day-use picnic areas are available and can be reserved for groups. The facilities provided are the same as for the overnight youth group facilities (see above). Group BBQs are available for reservation with a fee of $35 for City residents, or $50 for other city residents. Reservations can be made by calling the Park Attendant at 831.646.3865 or coming by the Park.

Directions: From Highway 101 north, exit at Arroyo Seco road near the city of Greenfield and proceed 16.2 miles to the junction of Carmel Valley Road and Arroyo Seco Road and bear right. Take Carmel Valley Road 17.2 miles to the junction with Tassajara Road and turn left and go 8 miles to White Oak.
From Highway 101 south, south exit at Arroyo Seco road and make an IMMEDIATE LEFT at Elm Ave. (If you get to the "Entering Greenfield" sign you have passed the left turn.) Follow Elm Street for 6 miles and turn left at the "T" onto Arroyo Seco Road. Proceed 6.5 miles along Arroyo Seco Road to the junction with Carmel Valley Road and bear right.
