With over a thousand wines offered for tasting, wine lovers will find an embarrassment of riches awaiting them at the Monterey Wine Festival June 10-11, 2011. 

California's longest-running wine festival celebrates its 35th anniversary beginning with the kickoff event at Hyatt Regency Monterey from 5pm-8pm on June 10th. During this evening guests can take a quick hop on the Champagne Shuttle sponsored by Sam Linder Auto Group and continue the party at The Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada. Guests will sip champagne and enjoy the views from the hilltop and the art inside the gallery. 

The festivities continue on Saturday, June 11th at the Custom House Plaza and Museum of Monterey in downtown Monterey. Guests will continue this day of celebration with a completely mouth watering experience from both the wineries and purveyors of food.  Along with these two ingredients live music is the final sensation that further ensures a winning combination.

The West Coast Chowder Competition will join the festival on Saturday where guests will be able to sample and savor the Best of the Best! Local restaurants  will compete for the coveted Copper pot Award and cash prizes.

Whether you are in the industry, a wine enthusiast or on your way to becoming one, this event is not to be missed! Tickets for the kickoff event at the Hyatt Regency Monterey and The Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada are available for $75 and are limited to 1,500 guests. Tickets for Saturday's Wine Festival & West Coast Chowder Competition are $75, $20 for Chowder and limited wine only, and $10 for chowder samples only.
