A tradition lasting for over a century, the Pacific Grove Feast of Lanterns is a community celebration. This event in Pacific Grove, now spread over two weekends, includes a lantern pageant, children's activities, and a pet parade. Local high school students are named to the "Royal Court" and receive an academic scholarship.

Events
Feast of Lantern's officially kicks off on Saturday, July 23rd for Family Fun Day at the Museum of Natural History from 11am-3pm. The day will be filled with several family activities including the traditional Chalk Fest.
On Wednesday, July 27th join the Royal Court for the Opening Ceremony and refreshments at the Elmarie Dyke Open Space near Chautauqua Hall from 1pm-3pm.
Thursday, July 28th will celebrate "Feast of Flavors." This event will feature dishes from several local restaurants and will be served buffet style from 11am-1pm. Tickets are available at Pacific Grove Travel on Lighthouse Avenue for $10.
On Friday, July 29th, enjoy the Feast of Lanterns Pet Parade. Pets will march the streets of Lighthouse Avenue beginning at 2:30pm. Also on Friday, dance with the Royal Court at Chautauqua Hall during the Dance Party at 6pm.
Saturday is Pageant Day at Lover's Point Beach beginning at 11am. The day will include children's activities, food booths, a sand castle contest and the pageant beginning at 8pm with fireworks to follow.
