Pacific Grove's Good Old Days Festival

April 2010

Come to America's last hometown for an old-fashioned celebration with Pacific Grove's Good Old Days Festival. This small town shows off its big heart with the largest event of its kind in Monterey County. There's a parade, live entertainment at six separate venues, arts and crafts vendors, food booths, carnival rides, a classic car show, a dunk tank, pony rides, historic tours and more! And best of all, it's free.

Parade

Everyone loves a parade! The Good Old Days parade starts Saturday at 10am, and runs down Pine Avenue. The over 100 entries will include historic vehicles, live bands, community groups, and more.

Family and Pet Activities

There's events for adults, kids, and even the family dog at Good Old Days! Head over to the Post Office to find carnival rides, inflatable jumpers and exhibits that will entertain the entire family. Ride a pony at Jewell Park. Play eighteen holes on Boy Scouts Troop 90's miniature golf course at Caledonia Park. Kids can have a great time of their very own at the Kids' Fair at Jewell Park on Saturday. And the family dog's not left out! Jewell Park will have a fun time for the Fido in your family with dog games, an agility show, and other dog events on Sunday.

Food

Eat for charity with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Jewell Park on Saturday from 8 to 11am. Your $6 benefits local Pacific Grove charities.

Over 30 food vendors will be on hand throughout Good Old Days to assuage any hunger pangs you may feel.

Live Entertainment

It's not possible for anyone to see all of the 320 entertainers performing at Pacific Grove's Good Old Days. From theatrical performances to dance to music ranging from the traditional to good old rock and roll, it's all happening at Good Old Days.

Local favorites Trusting Lucy, The Cachuagua Playboys, Peter Muse, the Chicano All-Stars, Cypress Airs Chorus, Island Breeze, Population Five and Alli Clark and the Boys all return this year to give visitors to Good Old Days a good time. See performances on harp and piano, Taiko drummers, and lots more that show just how diverse Pacific Grove is.
