Come to "America's Last Hometown" for an old-fashioned celebration with Pacific Grove's Good Old Days Festival. This small town shows off its big heart with the largest event of its kind in Monterey County. There's a parade, live entertainment on four separate stages, arts and crafts vendors, food booths, carnival rides, a classic car show, a dunk tank, pony rides, historic tours and more! And best of all, it's free.

Parade

Everyone loves a parade! The Good Old Days parade starts Saturday at 10am, and runs down Pine Avenue. The over 100 entries will include historic vehicles, live bands, community groups, and more.

Family and Pet Activities

There are events for adults, kids, and even the family dog at Good Old Days! Head over to the Post Office to find carnival rides, inflatable jumpers and exhibits that will entertain the entire family. Ride a pony at Jewell Park. Play eighteen holes on the Boy Scouts miniature golf course at Caledonia Park. Kids can have a great time at the Family Fair at Jewell Park on Saturday. And the family dog's not left out! Jewell Park will have a fun time for the Fido in your family with a Puppy Love Dog Show and a "My Dog's Got Talent" contest.

Food

Eat for charity with the Kiwanis Pancake and Sausage Breakfast at Jewell Park on Saturday from 7:30am to 11am. Your $6 benefits local Pacific Grove charities.

Over 30 food vendors will be on hand throughout Good Old Days to assuage any hunger pangs you may feel.

Live Entertainment

It's not possible for anyone to see all of the entertainers performing at Pacific Grove's Good Old Days. From theatrical performances to dance to music ranging from the traditional to good old rock and roll, it's all happening at Good Old Days.

Local favorites Trusting Lucy, Peter Meuse, Cypressaires Chorus, Population Five, Alli Clarke, Michael Martinez, Tap Banana, Sambahemians, Mikey Selbicky, AshaMed Turkish Band, DiFranco Dancers, Russ Guarino Band, and Sean the Piper all return this year to give visitors to Good Old Days a good time. They're joined by bands like the Wharf Rats, 41 Bills, Firefly, Joint Chiefs, Jenny Kerr, Sweet Jam, Groovy Judy, August Sky, Smoking Mirrors, Nu-Horizons and more.

Make sure you catch all your favorite live acts. Check the online Pacific Grove events schedule as next year's festival approaches to find out who's playing where and when.

Crafts Show

If you like arts and crafts, the 53rd Pacific Grove Good Old Days festival is not to be missed. With over 200 vendors from around the nation converging on Pacific Grove for this event, it is the largest arts and crafts fair in Monterey County.

Other Events and Activities

Watch your favorite media personalities duke it out at the Tenth Annual Media Challenge Basketball Tournament. Send a local official into the water at the dunk tank. Return to the Good Old Days with Saturday's classic car show, and learn more about them with free walking tours from the Heritage Society. Visitors can compete in a Lady Gaga lookalike contest or watch the Firefighter's Muster, which includes challenges like the bucket brigade and the hose cart contest.

Environmentally Friendly
