Originally founded as a Bohemian art community, Carmel-by-the-Sea has more than 100 galleries featuring local and foreign artists alike. The galleries mostly feature paintings, however photography and sculpted art is showcased as well.

"Each room is themed and we stayed in the Audrey Hepburn room during our recent visit. It was such a cute room. All of the rooms are gorgeous. The rooftop bar restaurant is amazing and overlooks the ocean. If you stay anywhere in Monterey, I would suggest you stay at Hotel 1110."
