Seaside

The former site of Fort Ord, Seaside, California is now an up and coming destination complete with two previously "off-limits" golf courses and some of the easiest beach access found anywhere on the Central California coast.

Seaside Recreation

Seaside has a youthful vibe, in part because of the students of the city's California State University at Monterey Bay (CSUMB). Its easy ocean access makes it a favorite haven for people fond of outdoor pursuits, including kayaking, scuba diving and even parasailing.

If the ocean isn't your thing, pay a visit to Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses. Seaside's golf courses offer a sweeping view of Monterey Bay. Once both the course and the view were only available to members of the military; now this public golf course is open to all.

Surfers, rock climbers, beachcombers and students from CSUMB easily coexist on pristine stretches of coastal bliss in Seaside, and so will you. You're invited to take a closer look and "Discover the Spirit of Seaside!"

Seaside Accommodations

Seaside lodging options provide easy access to the entire Monterey Peninsula, as well as attractions such as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Many Seaside, California hotels live up to the town's name, offering up an ocean view just steps away from the beach.
