Royal Oaks Park

The first park in the Monterey County Parks system, Royal Oaks Park is an excellent place for a family gathering, a softball game, or a day hike.

Day Use

Royal Oaks Park is a perfect location for a family outing. It has playground equipment, a softball field, horseshoe facilities and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts.

Royal Oaks Park has small picnic sites for general use, all of which have tables and grills, and all of which are near restroom facilities. There are also four group picnic areas at Royal Oaks Park available for rental. Each group area is near restroom facilities and has at least one barbecue pit. The Live Oak Group area allows alcohol with permits and insurance, and is available if you wish to hold a Royal Oaks Park wedding.

Hiking

If you have an interest in light hiking, Royal Oaks Park is ideal. Royal Oaks Park offers seven short trails, each providing beautiful views of the park's woodland setting.
