Guidelines for FAM Trips

The Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau receives numerous requests from travel agents and tour operators.  We are excited to showcase our diverse region, and partnering with you to bring more visitors to Monterey County. To help us maximize our limited resources, we appreciate your help in respecting our guidelines below.

Follow These Guidelines

In order to best serve you, we ask that the following guidelines be followed when requesting FAM trips:

• Complete the online FAM Request Form (found below)
• Contact the CVB at least six weeks in advance, for a successful visit.
  Once credentials have been verified, we will begin coordinating arrangements with our area partners.  If less than six weeks notice is given, we will attempt to assist in every way we can; however, the CVB relies on our industry partners when conducting FAM trips, therefore we cannot guarantee all requests for assistance can be fully accommodated.
• Complimentary arrangements (i.e. accommodations, meals, attraction tickets, etc.) are provided at the discretion of our industry partners.
  If “comps” cannot be accepted, a FAM rate will be requested. All requests are subject to availability.

Travel Agents & Tour Operators 

Provide three references from other CVB’s or hotels you have worked with in the past, as well as a history of business you have booked in Monterey County.

Please note: Our primary purpose is to assist travel agents, tour operators and media. However, locations may not be able to accommodate spouses, children or guests.  If special consideration is needed, please contact the MCCVB immediately to make the necessary arrangements.
