The MCCVB hosted Modern Luxury on a FAM tour designed to highlight the destination’s top attractions for sensory indulgence. The initial article, East of Eden, was published in Modern Luxury Orange County, and then in their books for Newport Beach, Los Angeles (The Angeleno), San Diego, as well as two of the MCCVB’s key markets: Scottsdale and Chicago.
Monterey took top billing in Phoenix Magazine's cover story “Escape to the Coast,” which was a direct result of the pop-up experience hosted by the MCCVB in Arizona last November. The author flew in to experience our aquatic, athletic and culinary treasures.

The MCCVB organized the Los Angeles Times feature, "Don't Give Up on Visiting Big Sur. Here's What's Still Open After That Landslide," to correct the inaccurate reports that the most recent mudslide had caused new closures on Highway 1 and in Big Sur. This article makes clear what restaurants and sites are open and eager to be welcoming guests.
In anticipation of the restaurant to open soon at Folktale, Chef Todd Fisher threw an impromptu dinner party for The Daily Meal journalist and brought together some of Monterey’s most illustrious food and beverage personalities for a festive evening celebrating the bounty of Monterey.
