The MCCVB sales team attended several industry tradeshows/events in April/May. Here are just a few of those events.

  • U.S. Travel Association's International POW WOW, which was held in Los Angles April 21-25 drew over 1,000 tour operator & had attendees from over 70 countries. We meet with 44 key travel partners to attract to Monterey County. We had seven co-op partners attend with us during this appointment show that lasted over 3 days.
  • In May, we co-hosted with the Monterey Plaza hotel Successful Meetings-Destination California May 1-3. We had very successful appointments with many of the 35 planners that attend from the event and we conducted several site visits with a few planners for future business.
  • On May 3rd we attended ASAE Springtime in the Park Exposition and Educational Conference in Washington, DC. Over 2,000 Association Executives and Meeting Professionals attended the show. They took away valuable information on meeting planning as well as information on the various destinations, products and services. Thank you to the seven partners that attended to help make this show a success.

We are in the process of putting together the 2012-2013 tradeshow schedule and there will be an opportunity for our partners to sign up for the shows.
