Just in time for summer, Alvarado Street Brewery & Grill has opened a shiny new beer garden just behind the main restaurant on Calle Principal. Here are just a few reasons why this is bound to be your favorite new hangout all summer (and winter) long!
1. Tantalizing New Summer Menu Additions
Mouth-watering new flatbreads to go with your brew is a must! Being introduced in a few weeks will be two new flatbreads: pork belly and ratatouille. Each one has its own unique ingredients and flavors that are sure to surprise and impress. Along with the flatbread will be the new chile Colorado tacos and a melon panzarella. Delish!
2. Cold, Refreshing Beer
Alvarado Street Brewery has gained quite the following for its beers, all brewed by head brewer J.C. Hill. For the hopheads in the crowd, be sure to try the Mai Tai P.A. or the Minesweeper I.P.A. If you prefer something a little lighter, you are sure to find a friend in the Peninsula Pilsner. Feeling adventurous? Try the Boysen Back in Town Kettle Sour Ale that is sure to be unlike any beer you have ever tasted. Bonus: all the pints are served in stainless steel cups to keep them colder longer. Don’t like beer? No problem. There are plenty of great wine choices and cocktails too.
3. Inviting and Friendly Atmosphere
With an open door, great staff and tasty food you might be likely to stay there all afternoon and evening. The beer garden has an open roof, allowing the sun to gleam in on those sunny days. On cool evenings, there are plenty of heaters and fire pits to keep you warm. Be sure to bring friends, including your four-legged pals to keep you company too!
4. Happy Hour
There isn’t an official happy hour in the beer garden... yet, but they do say “It’s always happy hour in the beer garden.” Plus, the pints are $1 off!
Alvarado Street Brewery is open Sunday – Thursday from 11:30am to 10:00pm and Friday – Saturday 11:30am – 11:00pm.
