Dishes include a 16-ounce rib chop, dayboat scallops, butternut squash, agnolotti, squab, brussels sprouts, yellowfin tuna carpaccio, and (of course) roasted organic turkey. Dessert options include pumpkin cheesecake, carmel pecan tart, chocolate ganache. 2pm-8pm, $90 for adults, $45 for children 5 to 12, children under 5 dine free. Call 831-622-5445 to reserve. The Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa never disappoints when it comes to great food. The Monterey Bay Buffet has over 40 items, including seafood, steamship of beef, duck and chicken paté, cheese and fruit, salads, cold cured meat, smoked salmon, and the traditional turkey. 1-7pm, $55 for adults, $23 for children. Call 831-646-1700 to reserve. Looking for a Thanksgiving meal with a twist? Head to Pacific Grove's Fandango Restaurant for an Italian, French and Basque take on the American meal. The Thanksgiving menu includes duckling pate, basque salad, and a choice of entrees including roast tom turkey, roast New York strip, grilled salmon, Virginia baked ham, and Tortellini Maison for the vegetarians, plus traditional desserts. 12:30pm-7:30pm, $29.75 for adults, $16.50 for children 12 and under. Call 831-372-3456 to reserve. The Sardine Factory opens its doors for a mouth-watering four-course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu. The first courses include butternut squash bisque with crisp smoked bacon and an autumn green salad. Entree includes roast Diestel turkey with sage dressing, mushroom gravy, cranberry orange relish, Yukon gold and sweet potato gratin, fresh green beans and baby carrots. For dessert, enjoy pumpkin pie or crème Brûlée. $39.95 for adults, $37.95 for seniors 60 and older, $17.95 for children under 12, and free for children under 5.
