On Saturday, April 2nd A-list celeb Drew Barrymore and the winemaker of Carmel Road Winery launched Drew Barrymore’s latest wine endeavor, a stunning Rosé of Pinot Noir.
Adding to her already successful 2013 Pinot Grigio she can now pin a trendy Rosé Pinot Noir (one of the hottest blends of this year’s PBFW) to her collection. Also produced with a collaboration from Carmel Road Winery’s winemaker Kris Kato, the Rosé Pinot Noir is completely comprised of Monterey County grapes from the Salinas Valley.
The rosé is superb and is best described from the Barrymore brains herself, ““My Barrymore by Carmel Road Rosé of Pinot Noir is a delicate wine with floral and light citrus aromas. Flavors of fresh red fruits, along with notes of peach and apricot intertwine with bright, mouthwatering acidity, leading to a crisp and vibrant finish. Irresistibly refreshing, it reminds me of times spent with friends and family gathered around a long table, sharing food and laughter on an endless summer day.”
