Every week we pick a newly submitted photo from the Flickr Group "See Monterey- Beautiful Photos of Monterey County." This week's winner is "Sunrise at McWay" submitted by Laurence.
McWay Falls should be on every Monterey County visitor's bucket list. The 80-foot waterfall plunges onto the sandy shores providing a unique show year-round.
The McWay Waterfall Trail is one of the shortest (and easiest) hikes in Big Sur. The flat and wide trail is just over a half mile, making it a must stop for almost every traveler. McWay Falls is easily accessible off of Highway One at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Visitors can park for free outside of the parks entrance or pay a $10 fee to park within the gates.
Do you have an amazing shot of Monterey County that you think is worthy of "Flickr Photo of the Week?" Submit your photo to our Flickr Group and you just might get picked!
