Over the past several years, the Restaurant Week concept has become popular in cities from Boston to LA and from Denver to Detroit. Local foodies have whispered, "But we have so many great restaurants right here! When will there be a restaurant week on the Central Coast?" Wonder no more! From October 22 to 28, restaurants throughout the area will be offering fabulous, modestly priced three-course prix-fixe menus during the inaugural Monterey Bay Restaurant Week. It's a low-risk way to test drive Monterey County's fantastic restaurants. Here's a list of just some of the restaurants participating in Monterey Bay Restaurant Week. For the full list - and a preview of the prix-fixe menu each restaurant will offer during Monterey Bay Restaurant Week - check out the official Monterey Bay Restaurant Week site. (We'll tell you right now, "Grilled Castroville Artichoke" seems to be the most popular starter.) Carmel
