With an iconic rock arch, famed purple sands and views of Big Sur’s coastline it is no wonder why Pfeiffer Beach is one of California’s most sought after beaches.

A visit to Pfeiffer Beach is on many travelers' bucket lists but getting to this crown jewel can be a bit tricky. The entrance through Sycamore Canyon is a narrow and windy one lane road that can be crowded in the summer months and once inside, parking is not guaranteed. Luckily there is now a Big Sur Shuttle SURvice to ensure you have a stress-free experience at this renowned Big Sur beach.

A new shuttle service providing access to Pfeiffer Beach from Big Sur Station ensuring visitors have a pleasant trip without traffic and parking problems.

This new Shuttle Survice is available Thursday through Sunday during the summer months (May 24-September 2, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes. The last outbound shuttle to Pfeiffer Beach is 6pm and the last inbound shuttle to Big Sur Station is 7pm.

Currently the only entry point to Big Sur and Pfeiffer Beach is via Highway 1 from the north, click here for more Big Sur travel updates. Parking for the shuttle is available off of Highway 1 at the Big Sur Station, 47555 CA-1, Big Sur CA 93920. The shuttle drops visitors off in front of the Pfeiffer Beach Day Use Area.

How much?

Parking at the Pine Ridge Parking Lot at the Big Sur Station is $10 and a roundtrip shuttle pass is $5 per person. Payment for parking and shuttle passes can be purchased at the entrancSustainable Moments vertical logo TMe by cash or credit card.
