“Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat” this weekend at the Golden Bough Theatre! Don’t miss the adorable production of Disney’s AristoCats performed by some of our young local talent. The catty musical about a bunch of stray alley cats will include classic songs like “The Aristocats" and "Scales and Arpeggios." Friday at 7:30pm, Saturday at 2pm and 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Casanova Street and 8th Avenue, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $7-$20.
All the way from Moss Landing, give it up for The Good Sams! The 5-piece band will be out at Bullwacker’s tonight playing Americana and Western Swing jams. 8:30pm, 653 Wave Street, Monterey. Free event.
Local acoustic rock guitarist Rex Wheeler plays at the London Bridge Pub tonight. Grab a seat and enjoy! 9:30pm, 256 Figueroa St., Wharf #2, Monterey. Free event.
Before you go downing green beer go for a hike with guides from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Parks District. Hikers will take Gregg’s Hills and Vista Lobos Tails for amazing views of the Monterey Peninsula. Don’t forget to wear good hiking boots and bring water, lunch and snacks. 9am, Palo Corona Barn, Carmel.
The end of the rainbow is at the Del Monte Center because they are celebrating their customers today; this means you! Don’t miss delicious free cookies and lemonade, special deals and a live performance from the Reel Deal band from noon-2pm. 10am-6pm, 1410 Del Monte Center, Monterey. Free event.

The Monterey Bay Derby Dames are going green – in an environmental sense – this Saint Patrick’s Day.. This week’s bout is sure to be a crowd pleaser with the Steinwreckers taking on the Babes of Wrath. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Just One Block which strives to stop plastic and trash from getting into Monterey County’s oceans and waterways. 7:30pm, Water City Sports Center, 2800 Second Avenue, Marina. $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
Find your pot of gold at the Turf Club at the Monterey County Fairgrounds where they are going to have a leapin’ good time this Saint Patrick’s Day.
