All Weekend 

Reggae acts from around the globe culminate at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center this Memorial Day Weekend for three days of good vibes. The California Roots Music and Arts Festival is packed with live music, fantastic food, refreshing beverages, creative artwork and sustainable practices. Catch a performance of David Harrower’s most acclaimed and most controversial play, Blackbird at the Golden Bough Playhouse in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This real and raw storyline is recommended for mature audiences. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Monte Verde between 8th and 9th, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $8-$20.

Join the Monterey Bay Meditation Studio at the Monterey Municipal Beach for a Sensory Beach Walk which will take in the sounds, smells, sights and feels of the beach. 1:30pm-2:30pm. Beach access across from Camino Aguajito, Monterey. Free event.

Kick back, relax and enjoy live music at Folktale Winery on Carmel Valley Road. This afternoon violinist and songwriter Razzvio stops by with her custom 6-string electric violin. 4:30pm-7:30pm. 8940 Carmel Valley Rd, Carmel. Free event. 

Celebrate Bob Dylan’s birthday with cover songs at the Henry Miller LAB at the Barnyard this afternoon. 5pm-7pm. 3728 The Barnyard, Suite G-23, Carmel. $20.

Need a good laugh? Head to the Pink Flamingo Theatre as the Bay Improvisers return for a hilarious night of making things up as they go. 7:30pm. 2115 North Fremont Ave #C, Monterey. $20.
