Elite and amateur triathletes flock to Pacific Grove to participate in one of the most scenic triathlons in the world: the Monterey Bay Triathlon. The triathlon offers an Olympic distance triathlon, a Sprint distance triathlon, an Aqua Bike race, Kids Fun Run and Kids Splash & Dash. Saturday-Sunday. 630 Ocean View Boulevard, Pacific Grove. The Monterey Symphony kicks off their concert series this weekend at the Sunset Center. The Symphony opens its 74th season ‘Ovation’ with works by Hector Berlioz and Antonín Dvorák's, featuring concertmaster Christina Mok. Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. 9th and San Carlos, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $44-$85

Start off your weekend on the right foot with a free walking tour at Asilomar Conference Grounds. The 75 minute hike showcases historic highlights of the iconic property. Saturday and Sunday at 10am. 800 Asilomar Avenue, Pacific Grove. Free event. 

If you care to sleep in a bit longer, join the 1:30pm tour of the Asilomar Dunes. Here you will learn about the preservation and management of this natural habitat, visit the native plant greenhouse and enjoy scenic views. Grab a glass of wine and unwine’d to the tunes of Wuwu at the Bargetto Winery Tasting Room on Cannery Row. 5pm-7pm. 700-G Cannery Row, Monterey. Free event. 

Head to the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea this evening for Viva Momix, a collection of astounding dance performances mixing illusion, beauty and magic. 8pm. 9th and San Carlos, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $49-$69.

Love tequila? Then you need to head to the Monterey Conference Center this evening. The Monterey Bay Tequila & Cuisine Festival features glamour, food and the fine spirits of agave. 5pm-8pm. 1 Portola Plaza, Monterey. $85

Join the Ventana Wilderness Alliance at the Golden State Theatre for fantastic films about wild things and wild places, guaranteed to inspire you to get outside and give back. This is the final Monterey Bay stop on the Wild & Scenic world tour and features a completely unique film line-up. 6pm. 417 Alvarado Street, Monterey. $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
