Friday

Carmel-by-the-Sea lights up the night with a special. tree lighting ceremony at Devendorf Park. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 3pm with plenty of entertainment, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus! After the tree is lit at 5:45pm stop by Carmel Plaza for their annual open house with live entertainment and refreshments. 3pm-7pm, Ocean Ave, Carmel-by-the-Sea. Free event.

Watch downtown Monterey flip the switch on the Christmas tree at Colton Hall this afternoon. The tree lighting ceremony will be full of cheer including carols, candles, cookies and cider. 570 Pacific Street, Monterey. Free event. 5pm-6pm.

Holiday Tree & Lights at Colton Hall

It’s Christmas Night at The Farm in Salinas Valley this evening. This family fun event is complete with carols, cookies, hot apple cider and moonlit hayrides. 6-9pm.  Spreckles Boulevard West at Highway 68, Salinas. Free event.

Marina celebrates the season with their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration at Vince DiMaggio Park. The evening will be full of caroling around the living Christmas tree, musical entertainment, s'mores around an open fire, fresh cookies, hot apple cider and a special appearance from Santa. 3200 Del Monte, Marina. 6pm-7:30pm. Saturday

Caledonia Park in downtown Pacific Grove behind the Post Office will be full of wintry fun for all! Fun in the Park features Santa's arrival on a shiny Pacific Grove fire truck, Frosty the Snowman, hayrides, a petting zoo & lots of entertainment. 10am-4pm. Several quaint inns and B&Bs in Carmel-by-the-Sea open their doors this afternoon for the Inns of Distinction Tour. Stroll the streets of Carmel and visit charming inns while sampling tastings from some of the area's finest restaurants and wine tasting rooms. 2pm-5pm.
