Dust off that cowboy hat and get ready for the California Rodeo Salinas! The Big Week festivities continue throughout the weekend with a carnival, horse parades, barrel races and much more! Thursday-Sunday. 1034 North Main Street, Salinas. Tickets start at $15 for adults and $7 for children.

California’s oldest music festival, the Carmel Bach Festival, celebrates its 80-year history with 15 days of performances, talks and educational events at the Sunset Center and throughout Carmel-by-the-Sea. Rub elbows with artist Blend Cota of Thomas Kinkade Studios during three special events held in Monterey and Carmel. Cota, known for his powerful brushstrokes and bold use of color, will be signing his artwork which resembles that of Kinkade's classics. Friday from 5pm-8pm at Current Comics in Monterey, Saturday from 12pm-5pm at the Thomas Kinkade Gallery in Monterey and Sunday from 12pm-5pm at the Thomas Kinkade Studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea. One of Pacific Grove’s most favored traditions kicks off this weekend! The Feast of Lanterns decks out Chautauqua Hall today for the opening events which includes the Feast of Flavors and Feast of Dancing. The main event and pageant takes place next week, July 28.
