All Weekend

The Carmel Jewish Film Festival wraps up this weekend with an amusing movie lineup spanning various venues throughout the county. These unique films communicate themes and messages with universal appeal drawn from the Monterey area and beyond. Click here for the full schedule. March 3-24. Multiple venues. $12.

Friday

Get the kiddos out of the house and head to the Mad Hatter Tea Party at Northridge Mall in Salinas. Wear your silliest hat and enjoy Mad Hatter's tea and snacks as well as special games with Alice and other characters. 1pm-3pm. 796 Northridge Mall, Salinas. Free event. 

Kick back, relax and enjoy live music at Folktale Winery on Carmel Valley Road. This afternoon the Jim Payne Organ Trio plays funky jazz jams. 4:30pm-7:30pm. 8940 Carmel Valley Rd, Carmel. Free event.

Indulge in delicious bites and sips as Jacks Monterey partners with Robert Mondavi Winery for their first wine dinner. A five course pre-fixe menu will be paired with five wines to bring out the best flavors and aromas from both the food and wine. 6pm-9pm. 2 Portola Plaza, Monterey $60 per person.

Saturday

Learn how to relieve the stresses of daily life and indulge on self-mediation at the River Flow Retreat. Monterey Bay Mediation leads this half-day retreat where you will learn from the river as you weave together meditation and intuitive movement which reflect the qualities of water. 1pm-4pm. Carmel River State Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $75.

Taylor Rae stops by Folktale Winery for some soulful jams sure to mellow you out over a glass of wine, of course. 4:30pm-7:30pm. 8940 Carmel Valley Rd, Carmel. Free event. 

Laugh the cares of the week away at the Pink Flamingo Theatre tonight during a Comedy Showcase starring FACO, Cosy Robson, Chris Naasko BJ Rankin and more. 7:30pm. 2115 North Fremont Ave #C, Monterey. $20

Science Time with Alex Berg comes to the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History! Tonight this funny and informative lecture will highlight gravitational waves. 7:30pm-9:30pm. 165 Forest Ave, Pacific Grove. $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
