Big Sur Food & Wine 

PacRep continues its exploration of Shakespeare’s Roman plays with a new and relevant adaptation of Coriolanus. This timely political piece is performed at the Circle Theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea and deals with the violent and messy beginnings of democracy. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Dancers from the SpectorDance Company pair up with students from Alisal High School for a free performance of East West which shines a light on gangs and impacts on the community. 1:20pm-2:50pm. 777 Williams Road, Salinas. Free event. 

Prepare to be mesmerized by the human body during a presentation from Pilobolus at the Sunset Center. This evening the talented dance troop performs “Come to Your Senses,” a multi-sensory experience, featuring live performances of onstage Pilobolus works alongside transmedia digital creations. 8pm. San Carlos Street at Ninth Avenue, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $59-$79.


Give your mind a break and enjoy a day of Deep Nourishment with the Monterey Bay Meditation Studio. This full day retreat takes place at the inspiring Asilomar Conference Grounds and includes guided meditation, gentle body movement and relational practices. 10am-5pm. 800 Asilomar Blvd., Pacific Grove. $140.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Pacific Grove welcomes Celtic sounds from master of the Scottish fiddle, Alasdair Fraser and his world-class musical partner, cellist Natalie Hass. 3pm-5pm. 146 12th Street, Pacific Grove. $30 in advance and $32 at the door.

The talented orchestra from Youth Music Monterey County takes the stage at the Sunset Center this afternoon where they will perform works by Igor Stravinsky, Antonin Dvorak and John Garth. 3pm-5pm. San Carlos Street at Ninth Avenue, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $20 for adults and $10 for students.
