Athletes from around the world converge at Lover's Point this weekend for the Triathlon at Pacific Grove. This elite event offers an Olympic distance triathlon, a sprint distance triathlon, and a 5K and 10K Fun Run. Be sure to check out triathlon-related merchandise in the exposition area! Friday-Sunday. Everyone's favorite ogre and his fairytale misfits are at the Golden Bough in Carmel-by-the-Sea this weekend. Shrek the Musical is sure to be a hilarious hit with the whole family. Dust off that lederhosen and beer stein for Oktoberfest Monterey Bay this weekend! The Monterey County Fair & Events Center turns into a mini-Munich complete with a Ms. Oktoberfest contest, live music, dachshund races, German cuisine, and lots of beer! Discover Kahn Ranch this morning with guides from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Parks District. Hikers will enjoy breathtaking views of eastern Garland Park usually only accessible by permit.
