Head over to Carmel-by-the-Sea’s enchanted Outdoor Forest Theatre for a performance of Beauty and the Beast. The Broadway screenplay version of this beloved Disney film will be playing all weekend long. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. The Museum of Monterey screens "In the Heat of the Night” Friday and Saturday. This oldie but goodie film is in conjunction with the museum’s exhibition of “Music, Love and Flowers: Youth & Culture Monterey 1967 & Now.” Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm. 5 Custom House Plaza, Monterey. Come one, come all to the Sand City West End Celebration! The streets of Sand City shut down and become an open-air artists' fair, showcasing truly unique works from artists throughout Monterey County. Resident Sand City artists also open their studio doors throughout the day, inviting the public to view both completed works and works in progress. Many studios also host live performances during the event from artists Forrest Day, Sambada, The Money Band, The Good Sams and many more. The Custom House Plaza in Monterey celebrates Turkish culture and heritage all weekend long. Guides from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Parks District will take out a group of hikers to explore Palo Corona this morning. Hikers will be spoiled with amazing ocean vistas throughout the journey. The 3.5 mile hike is expected to last two to three hours. Kids itching for something to do? Take them over to the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. Today’s Science Saturday will focus on fossils. Sold Out! The Monterey County Fairgrounds welcomes Mumford & Sons fans into the grounds today for the Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road Stopover.
