Foodies unite in Carmel-by-the-Sea this weekend for the Relais & Châteaux GourmetFest. The four day food and wine extravaganza features an all star lineup of Relais & Châteaux Chefs and wine estates including its host restaurant Aubergine at L'Auberge Carmel. Events include an opening night welcome party, a cooking demo, wine tastings, off-site tours combined with exciting lunches, featured chefs, world-class wine dinners, a rarities dinner, and a closing seafood grill and Champagne tasting. With three days of free live music at the Monterey Conference Center the event includes an opening night concert Friday at 8pm and then competitions all day Saturday and Sunday from amazingly talented young jazz musicians and students.
