Athletes from around the globe converge on Monterey Bay’s scenic coastline for the Pacific Grove Triathlon. The main course takes triathletes on a swim known as the "Kelp Crawl" at Lovers Point, a bike ride along the coast and a run from Lovers Point to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. There are several other athletic events throughout the weekend as well as a Sports Expo. Friday-Sunday, Lovers Point Park, Pacific Grove.

Oldtown Salinas becomes “alive after five” today for the monthly First Fridays Art Walk. Local artists showcase their unique works at various venues throughout Main, Monterey and Salinas Streets.
